Online retail company £240m Loss - future investment in IT infrastruture - restructuring programmes - Turnover 2.57bn - 16,000 Employees
Merseyside online retail company March UK have recorded Group turnover up from £1.89bn for 2010. Despite this, March UK recorded an operating loss of 240m, up from 76.8m in 2010. The losses are due to the cost of integration and restructuring programmes. The group continues to invest in its future with further significant investment in the IT infrastructure and web platform, supported by advertising campaigns.

£1m Electricity North West contract - £200,000 renewable energy investment - potential new jobs
Sustainability Inc has secured a £1m contract to carry out refurbishment and fit-out work at Electricity North West offices in Preston. The firm recently won a contract worth up to £3m annually with Bagel Nash. Sustainability is diversifying into renewable energy with a £200,000 investment. It employs 32 staff.

Devon renewable energy installer Source Renewable has secured a deal to become the prime installer of medium-scale wind turbines in the South West, on behalf of Ice Renewables. Source will work alongside ICE throughout the process of installing the wind turbines including site survey, design work, ground works, installing the system, project management and completing the grid connection.

Acquires Firstserv and Serverstream - cloud computing expansion - jobs safeguarded
Six Degrees has acquired managed hosting and cloud providers Firstserv and Serverstream. The London-based companies will add £3m of hosting revenues to Six Degrees managed data division and are part of a strategy to expand cloud hosting services. New wind farm development - Environmental studies to be carried out
