15 pubs sold for £22.9m - Operating profit of £1.7m
Pub company Enterprise Inns, based in Solihull, West Midlands, has exchanged contracts for the sale of 15 pubs to Fuller Smith & Turner for £22.9m. Under Enterprises ownership, the pubs made operating profits of £1.7m in the year to the end of September 2011.

Factory Closure - Production Moved Abroad - 31 Jobs Lost
Alternator firm Markon Sawafuji in Oakham are to close its factory after 10 years, resulting in the loss of 31 jobs. The company is a joint venture between Cummins Generator Technologies in Stamford and Sawafuji in Japan. Production will now be moved to Mexico and Japan and the factory has been put on the market.

Staycity to make £16m Newhall Square move
Commercial property developer RO St Bernards Ltd has secured an agreement with Dublin-based serviced apartment operator Staycity to open up to 190 properties at its Newhall Square development in Birmingham, creating a £16m aparthotel. The aparthotel will open in April 2012, creating employment and business opportunities. RO St Bernards recorded £5.6m turnover in 2010.
