£1m Electricity North West contract - £200,000 renewable energy investment - potential new jobs
Sustainability Inc has secured a £1m contract to carry out refurbishment and fit-out work at Electricity North West offices in Preston. The firm recently won a contract worth up to £3m annually with Bagel Nash. Sustainability is diversifying into renewable energy with a £200,000 investment. It employs 32 staff.

New product launched - Six new contracts secured
Mobile phone technology firm 2ergo Group, based in Salford in Manchester, has secured agreements six with manufacturers and distributors of electronic till equipment for their new product, Podifi, which enables consumers to complete contactless transactions in shops using smart phones. Casio Electronics, ICR Touch, Geller, Uniwell, Sharp Electronics and YCR will use the product. Neale Graham is Chief Executive.

Person Plc is acquiring US-based Certiport Inc. from Spire Capital Partners for 140m dollars. The acquisition will strengthen Pearsons professional testing business. All Leisure Group is acquiring Page & Moy Travel Group Ltd for £4.2m after securing a £5.8m loan from a consortium of individual investors. The acquisition will allow All Leisure Group to expand into new markets. All Leisure Group recorded turnover of £80.3m in 2011 and had 119 employees.

Advice service creates 23 jobs - service extended
A free business advice service provided by Derbyshire Dales District Council has been extended. The service has supported 60 businesses and helped to create 23 jobs over the four months since it was launched. The contract for professional business adviser Heather Bradford has been extended to the end of March 2013.
