40 new jobs - N&P customer services expansion
Yorkshire Building Society is creating 40 new jobs at Norwich & Peterborough Building Society's base in Peterborough. Yorkshire Building Society merged with Norwich & Peterborough Building Society in 2011. The new customer service roles will include some managerial positions.

Chairman Steps Down - Successor Appointed
De La Rue plc have appointed Philip Rogerson as a non executive director with effect from 1 March 2012, and Nicholas Brookes will retire as Chairman and as a non executive director following the Annual General Meeting on 26 July 2012. Philip Rogerson will succeed Nicholas Brookes as Chairman on his retirement. Tim Cobbold is Chief Executive Officer, Colin Child is Group Finance Director.

Two senior appointments - new CEO and medical director
Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust has appointe David Law as chief executive with effect from 12 March 2012, while Dr Hemal Desai will become medical director on 13 February 2012. Mr Law previously worked for West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust. Dr Desai is a former GP and clinical lead for NHS Midlands and East strategic projects team.

60 job losses - NHS restructuring
NHS Derbyshire is reducing headcount by a further 60 office roles as part of the restructuring of the NHS, leaving less than 500 staff. Around 360 will work with GP management groups and 100 in public health which will come under control of local authorities. The future of senior executives will be decided at a national NHS level.

New senior vice president of retail appointed
Apple Inc. has hired John Browett as senior vice president of retail. He was previously CEO of Dixons Retail PLC. He replaces Ron Johnson, who held the job for 11 years before joining J.C. Penney Co. Inc. in November 2011 as the retail chains CEO. Browett will join Apple in April 2012 and oversee retail strategy and global store expansion.
