2 new warehouses - £50m investment - 500 jobs created
Market support firm Prolog is to build two warehouses in Sudbury, Suffolk with a combined floor space of 26,385 sq metres. The new £50m site will create 500 jobs and be ready by 2015. Prolog already employs 430 people in the town. Robert Audley is the chairman.

Business expansion - 18m acquisition of e-commerce business
Yell, a leading provider of digital services, has progressed its plan to create the local eMarketplace with the acquisition of London based Moonfruit Limited, the UKs leading DIY website and online shop builder. The total cash consideration for the acquisition is approximately 18 million, funded out of Yells cash reserves. Mike Pocock is Chief Executive Officer of Yell.

Communisis Plc has expanded its website building, digital app and social media capabilities with two acquisitions: London-based software production agency Kieon, and social media agency Yomego, which has offices in Glasgow and London. Communisis has a strong portfolio of new business opportunities. 2011 turnover was 208m, 1,383 employees.

Revenue 99.5m - Operating Profit 1.4m - Losses 4.5m
Havelock Europa, the retail and educational interiors provider have recorded results for the year to 31 December 2011. Group revenue was level with last year at 99.5m, operating profit up to 1.4m from 0.6m, Pre Tax Loss down to 4.5 from 4.6. Eric Prescott is CEO.

Revenue growth expected - cost reductions implemented - jobs lost
London-based insights and communications group Creston expects revenue for the year to March 2012 to increase 11% to £75m. Like-for-like revenue will be marginally ahead following a cost reduction strategy implemented in response to lower-than-expected third quarter sales, including job losses and reductions in property costs. In 2011 Creston had 813 employees.

Internet company achieves strong growth - UK revenues up 19% to £721m
Google recorded a 60.7% increase in net income to £1.81bn in the 2012 first quarter, while revenues from the UK increased by 18.7% year on year to £721m. The internet company recorded global revenues of £6.67bn in the first quarter of 2012, a 24% increase compared with the 2011 first quarter.
