Mobile phone technology firm 2ergo Group, based in Salford in Manchester, has secured agreements six with manufacturers and distributors of electronic till equipment for their new product, Podifi, which enables consumers to complete contactless transactions in shops using smart phones. Casio Electronics, ICR Touch, Geller, Uniwell, Sharp Electronics and YCR will use the product. Neale Graham is Chief Executive.

France-based technology outsourcing company Capgemini recorded sales of £2bn in the 2012 first quarter, up 4.3% from the 2011 first quarter. UK & Ireland revenues increased 3.9%, a significant improvement from 2011 when revenues were flat. 2010 turnover £1.6bn, 7,632 employees.

Software developer Kaleida has relocated to new headquarters within Trafford Park, Manchester, to accommodate its growth plans. The company will increase its workforce from 16 to 24 by May 2013. Turnover in the year to October 2011 was 1m, up from 900,000, and Kaleida is targeting similar growth in 2012.
