Herotsc, one of the UK’s largest call centre companies, has confirmed it will be taking over part of Egg’s former headquarter building in Derby. The deal represents one of the biggest regional office lettings this year.

MGt, a provider of customer management outsourced services, has been selected as ITV Plc's payments partner. The broadcaster is preparing to start charging viewers for online content. ITV will run a public trial of MGt's Pay Wizard technology in 2012. The contract has the potential to create jobs.

Energy firm SSE Plc expects an increase in pre-tax profits for the financial year to 31 March 2012, despite a fall in customer numbers. Capital and investment expenditure will total approximately £1.7bn for 2011/12 as a whole, with good progress made in large capital projects.

Scolmore International Limited, which markets and distributes electrical products and accessories, has restructured its sales team to strengthen the companys efforts to develop new business opportunities as well as build existing accounts. The team has expanded to three regions and will comprise eleven sales areas for each area of the country, covered by a business development manager as well as an area sales manager. The company has appointed five new staff as a direct result. Michael Feist is the Area Sales Manager for the West Midlands. Adrian Fairclough will join the company as Business Development Manager for the Midlands region. David Rankin has taken on the role of Business Development Manager for Northern Ireland. Barry Taylor joins Scolmore as Regional Sales Manager for the new Scotland & Northern Ireland region. John Lonnon, the most recent addition to the sales force, has joined the company as Business Development Manager for the South East. Ian Hunter is the National Sales Manager.
