Manchester based energy company ASC Renewables are planning to build a wind farm with up to 13 wind turbines on farmland next to a sewage treatment works at Newton Marsh, Tetney, South Humberside. Environmental studies are to be carried out prior to a planning application being made. Mike Denny is Operations Director for ASC.

The company is to collaborate with Scotlands only wind tower producer, Wind Towers Limited based in Perth and includes collaborating on an apprenticeship and training scheme to help create lasting jobs in Scotland. Renewable energy company Eco Environments recorded turnover of £6.4m in 2011/12, a substantial increase from £1.3m in 2010/11. It has created 38 jobs, increasing headcount to 50 over 12 months. The expansion follows strong demand for solar panels from domestic customers and significant commercial contract awards. It is planning further expansion of its commercial business.
